Pupil Premium
Here at Whitchurch C E Primary School we strive to provide an environment where all children are safe, healthy and happy. We aim for all children to thrive socially, emotionally and educationally and thus make good progress.
We do this by:
- Providing a safe environment
- Creating learning opportunitieswhich enable children to make good progress
- Supporting children to develop positive friendships and relationships with each other and the adults in school
- Working in partnership with parents and carers
Pupil Premium is additional funding provided by the government for children who are eligible for Free School Meals, have been eligible for Free School Meals over the last six years, are looked after by the local authority or are post-looked after or have a parent who in the armed services. This funding is provided to ensure that these disadvantaged groups of children are enabled to make up any gaps in their learning. Schools can decide how to use the Pupil Premium Funding and at Whitchurch C E Primary School the funding is used to enable children to catch up with their peers and achieve a standard which enables them to continue their education successfully.
